NARL Quarterly E-Bulletin, July - September, 2023

It is a new dawn at the National Agricultural Research Laboratory (NARL)-Kawanda as the Institute welcomes a new Diretor of Research (DoR). On July 31 2023, NARL bid farewell to Prof. Wilberforce Tushemereirwe. The NARO Director General (DG), Dr. Yona Baguma, formerly introduced the new DoR to the NARL fraternity comprised of staff and Advisory Committee members of NARL at the same ceremony where DG simultaneously toured the new Tissue Culture laboratory under construction, Soils laboratory and Food Biosciences and Agribusiness (FBA) laboratories. The DG urged the scientists and Program Leaders in all the facilities he visited, to observe and maintain industry standards for all the work being done in the laboratories. He thanked the outgoing DoR for his great service for the last 39 years, working and growing in ranks from an officer to becoming the holder of the highest office at the Institute.
