

NARO-NARL showcases Machinery for Value Addition and Banana Agronomic Practices at the Farmer Mobilization and Education (Kuzukusa) Launch in Central Uganda Region
National Agricultural Research Laboratories (NARL) is one of the sixteen (16) Public Agricultural Research Institutes (PARIs) established under the NAR Act, 2005 that form the National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO). At the Kuzukusa, 2 of NARL’s programs are showcasing impactful relevant technologies that link well with the objectives of the campaign.
Objectives of Kuzukusa campaign
To drive Mindset Change, promote Enterprise Selection among the farming population, promote Affordable Agriculture Financing options, provide affordable and quality inputs (seed/seedlings, stocking materials, fertilizers, pesticides, semen, embryos, chicks, fingerlings, etc, promote access to Extension Services (Good Agricultural Practices), promote good agricultural practices (GAP) in Post-Harvest handling and Primary Processing, encourage Value Addition , promote Marketing and to provide a platform for local, national and international agro-input firms can show case their innovations and technology.
