Dr. Chrisostom Ayebazibwe is a globally recognized veterinary epidemiologist with over 25 years of experience advancing animal health, public health, and One Health systems across Africa. He has led high-impact programs with FAO, Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), and local governments, shaping policy, controlling various diseases, strengthening laboratory networks, and driving vaccine innovation in LMICs.

His work spans transboundary climate-resilient livestock systems, disease control, biosafety, diagnostics, AMR strategy, vaccine innovation—most notably partnering with governments to advance thermostable PPR vaccines, Porcine Cysticercosis trials, and farmer-led FMD vaccination models. Dr. Ayebazibwe has mobilized millions in donor funding, mentored emerging scientists, and published over 60 peer-reviewed articles.

He holds a PhD in Veterinary Epidemiology and advanced degrees in Public Health, Veterinary Medicine, and Project Planning. He is a trusted advisor to governments, donors, and global health institutions.
