Call for expression of interest
The National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) streamlined access to and licensing of her plant varieties to address concerns regarding quality assurance, product stewardship, and seed tracking and traceability through both the public and commercial routes.
In its continued commitment to working with partners to deliver quality seed to end-users, NARO wishes to license its potato varieties to interested seed multipliers for the commercialisation. The potato varieties include: Uganda 11 also known as Rutuku, Victoria, KACHPOT 1, NAROPOT 1, NAROPOT 2, NAROPOT 3, NAROPOT 4 also known Rwangume, NAROPOT 5, NAROPOT 6, NAROPOT 7, NAROPOT 8, NAROPOT 9 and NAROPOT 10.
This is therefore to invite seed companies, tissue culture operators and any other certified potato seed producers interested in the multiplication/ production and marketing of potato certified seed from NARO potato plant varieties to express interest for variety allocation and licensing.
