Dr. Stevens Kisaka's Profile
Dr. Stevens Kisaka is a veterinary scientist, consultant epidemiologist, researcher, and management professional with over 15 years of experience. He possesses a Doctorate (Epidemiology) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya; a Master of Science; a Master of Public Health from Makerere University; and a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Makerere University, Uganda. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management from the Uganda Management Institute (UMI).
He has expertise in coordination of national and cross-border research, corporate governance, strategy development, project management, and resource mobilization. He has managed several international and national research grants, projects, programs, and partnerships.
He is widely published in the areas of livestock production, food safety, and zoonotic diseases (ORCiD, Google Scholar) and has served as a consultant for various projects in the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries (Uganda); the World Health Organization (WHO); and the Ministry of Health (Uganda).
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Kisaka was working as a lecturer at Makerere University, Kampala.
